About This Dog for Adoption

Teddy's ideal home

Teddy is a 4-month-old Shih Tzu cross who is full of puppy charm and curiosity. He’s looking for a home where he’ll have plenty of company throughout the day, as he thrives on being around his people and is still learning how to settle on his own. A fully secure garden is a must so he can safely play, explore, and continue his housetraining. Teddy could live with calm, steady dogs who can show him the ropes, and he may be able to share his home with children aged 8 and over who understand that puppies can be excitable and mouthy at times. For the foreseeable future, Teddy will need to remain on lead when out and about, so his new family should enjoy plenty of on-lead adventures while working on his training.

Could you be Teddy's perfect match?

Teddy is a happy, adaptable pup who has already shown his playful personality in his foster home. He enjoys meeting people, watching the world go by, and heading out on walks where he can take in all the sights and smells, though he sometimes barks at things like trees swaying in the wind which shows just how inquisitive he is. Like most puppies, Teddy can get very excitable and will need ongoing training to help him grow into a polite young dog. He already knows a few cues such as sit and stay, and responds well when rewarded with his favourite treats. Teddy enjoys his crate for quiet time, loves his toys, and is quick to settle down after play.
He still has some housetraining and lead manners to work on, but he’s a bright little dog who will make fast progress with patient, positive guidance. Teddy will bring fun, laughter and lots of affection to the right home. If you’re looking for a playful companion to raise and guide through his puppyhood, Teddy could be the perfect match. AWE licence number 13090 by West Lothian Council.
