Woody's ideal home
Woody is a lovely 5-year-old Shih Tzu with a gentle, relaxed nature and a very sweet way about him. He enjoys being near his people without being overly demanding, and he’s happy to quietly settle in his bed or potter outside while you get on with your day. He’s a calm little companion at home and has already shown lovely manners.
Woody is happiest when he can enjoy the simple things in life: a comfy bed, gentle company, and a sunny spot outside. He loves sitting in the garden and relaxing, and would really enjoy having his own garden where he can sunbathe and potter at his own pace.
Out and about, Woody is a pleasure to walk. He walks nicely on lead and tends to stay close to his foster carer.
He has been fine being handled all over and even having baths, though he can be unsure when the brush comes out, so he’ll need gentle, positive confidence-building around grooming. He’s also shown a tiny playful spark by picking up a toy and running outside with it when meeting the gardener; hopefully a sign that his cheeky side is starting to shine through.
Woody can live with primary school-aged children and could share his home with a calm dog or cat, following sensible introductions. He would suit a kind, loving home where he can enjoy garden sunbathing, gentle walks and plenty of companionship.
