About This Dog for Adoption
Lola's ideal home
Lola is a gentle soul who is looking for a moderate to quiet home where she can feel safe, loved, and understood. She forms strong bonds with her people and thrives on companionship, so a home where someone is around most of the time would be ideal.
She would be best suited to a household with adults or older, dog-savvy teens, as she can be a little sensitive around toys and handling.
Lola would love a private garden where she can enjoy peaceful playtime and explore at her own pace.
She’s happiest when her space and toys are respected, so any regular visitors should be introduced gradually to help her feel comfortable and secure.
Her new family will need to be open to continuing her training to help her settle and shine.
Lola is currently on a gastro diet and may have some ongoing medical needs, which we’ll be happy to discuss further with shortlisted applicants.
While she can be a little unsure around other dogs, she may be able to live with a calm, respectful canine companion after careful introductions.
If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive companion who will blossom in the right environment, Lola could be the perfect match.
Could you be Lola's perfect match?
Meet Lola, a sweet and loveable five-year-old Shih Tzu cross Bichon who can be a little shy when meeting new people, but comes round quickly for some tasty treats! This little lady came into our care from another rescue and is now ready to find a forever home where she can truly shine.
Lola is affectionate, inquisitive, and loves being close to the people she trusts. She enjoys her toys—especially squeaky ones!—and thrives on enrichment activities that keep her mind engaged.
She can be sensitive to handling, especially around her head, and can be a bit protective of her toys, so a home that understands her boundaries and gives her space when needed will help her feel safe and secure.
Lola is nearly housetrained. She thrives on companionship and enjoys exploring, but prefers calm introductions to new people and dogs.
Because she finds being left alone a bit unsettling, Lola would benefit from a home with minimal leaving hours and someone who can help her gradually feel more comfortable with time apart.
Lola is uncomfortable with car travel. She shows reluctance to enter the car and jumps out quickly, even when lured with treats. She may need training and support to build confidence with travel.
